I think this is as Mexican as it will get in South Carolina. But surprisingly, it wasn’t too far off for this CA girl! Chili Relleno in CA is called Pasilla peppers here in SC. Same thing I know, but it was just interesting the differences between West and East coast. The CA burrito did not have French fries or sour cream which was kinda disappointing, but oh well , ill get that when I’m back home. The horchata was pretty amazing, and the avocado salsa was my favorite. Overall, good food and great service.

Wonderful experience at La Reata. The food is definitely not texmex. Very flavorful food from good quality ingredients. The portions are mansized even for lunch menu. They do have a salsa bar which is an interesting spin on chips and salsa. The place is much larger than it appears from the outside. Does not have a lot of parking at busy times. Service for groups as large as 12 not a problem. I give it a hardy thumbs up.

La Reata Taqueria Mexican Restaurant is so authentic and delicious! I love the family that owns it. The salsa bar is stuff dreams are made of as well as the strawberry margarita. My hubby gets the coronita. We’ve tried everything on the menu and it’s great every time. The chicken chimichanga (pictured here) is my favorite. On Wade Hampton in Taylors.
